Honda Elevate SUV to Launch Tomorrow: Features, Mileage, and More

The Honda Elevate is poised to make its debut in the Indian car market, amidst stiff competition within the compact SUV segment. This eagerly awaited vehicle is scheduled for launch in India on September 4, 2023. Although the car was unveiled earlier this year, its pricing has been shrouded in secrecy, with the curtain set to rise on that information tomorrow. Prospective buyers have had the opportunity to secure their bookings for this Japanese SUV since July, with a token deposit of Rs 5,000 for online reservations or Rs 21,000 when booking through an authorized Honda dealer. Deliveries of the SUV are slated to commence following the official price announcement.

Honda Elevate: Design

The Honda Elevate SUV boasts a modern and distinctive design. Its front end showcases a unique grille complemented by sleek LED headlamps, seamlessly integrated with chrome accents. The overall aesthetics are further enhanced by black fog lamps and prominent 17-inch alloy wheels housed within expansive wheel arches. Additionally, the vehicle boasts an elevated SUV-style stance, offering an impressive ground clearance of 220 mm.

The SUV will be offered in four distinct variants: SV, V, VX, and ZX. These variants will be available in a variety of colors, including Phoenix Orange, Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Golden Brown Metallic. Furthermore, these paint options will also be offered in dual-tone combinations.

The Honda Elevate comes equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, accompanied by a 7-inch HD color TFT driver display. Moreover, the SUV offers a range of amenities, including automatic climate control.

Honda Elevate: Mileage and Powertrain

Under the hood, the Honda Elevate will feature the same 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine found in the Honda City sedan. This powerplant delivers a robust 119 bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 145.1 Nm. Buyers will have the option to choose between a CVT transmission and a six-speed manual transmission to complement the engine. According to Honda, the Elevate SUV achieves a mileage of 15.31 km/l in manual versions and an even more impressive 16.92 km/l in CVT versions.

In the Indian market, the Honda Elevate will face competition from several models, including the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, and Citroen C3 Aircross.
