Additionally, a Rall-E variant in the works
The forthcoming Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV has been recently spotted during testing in India. This model represents one of Mahindra's many electric SUV offerings slated for release in the coming years. Among these electrified options, the XUV.e8 is expected to make its debut first in December 2024.
Although Mahindra has already provided a sneak peek of the production-ready version of the upcoming BE.05 SUV, the test vehicle featured in the accompanying images is still in a pre-production stage. Notably, this test mule lacks certain production-specific components, including final headlamps, taillights, and the EV charging port cap. Some distinguishing features of this unit include smoothly integrated door handles, a unique integrated spoiler, A-pillar-mounted outside rearview mirrors, rear bumper reflectors, and what appears to be a panoramic sunroof. Additionally, the C-pillar will house rear door handles, and a stop lamp is positioned at the center of the tailgate.
Previous glimpses of the Mahindra BE.05's interior suggest that it may come equipped with a two-spoke steering wheel featuring touch-based controls and two prominent screens on the dashboard. These screens will serve as a touchscreen interface and a driver's display. Furthermore, the interior will feature an extended center console reaching back to the front armrest, an aircraft-inspired gear lever, auto-dimming internal rearview mirror, a three-tone upholstery theme, rotary dial, and fabric inserts doubling as interior door handles.
While specific powertrain details remain undisclosed at this time, it is speculated that the 2025 Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV might incorporate a 60kWh battery pack paired with two electric motors. Mahindra is also planning to introduce the BE.05 Rall-E variant concurrently in October 2025.
